In 1995, under the able
chairmanship of Honourable Shri. Ravindra M. Mane, Ex-Minister of State
Finance and Planning, Development, Irrigation, Water Supply and
Sanitation (Government of Maharashtra) Ex-Guardian Minister Ratnagiri
District, the Prabodhan Shikshan Prasarak Sanstha was founded. The sole objective of the Sanstha is to promote education for the people of the region and also work for the welfare and upliftment of society.
In its service for the noble cause of education the Sanstha is running the following institutions:
- Kai.Sou.Meenatai Thakaray High School, Sadavali
- Kai.Sou.Meenatai Thakaray Junior Science College, Sadavali
- Rajendra Mane College of Engg. & Tech., Ambav
- Rajendra Mane Polytechnic
- Indira Institute of Pharmacy, Sadavali
- Prabodhan Centre for Educational Excellence
- Human Resource Development Centre

After achieving excellence in the filed of education the sanstha in now expanding it`s horizons in the following areas:
- Ultra Modern Medical College
- Food Processing Unit for the benefit of rural area people engaged in agriculture
- State of Art, Sports Complex of international standards for the youth of country.
